When things work out for one partner, normally, the other partner also benefits. So, your boyfriend’s hustle is your business, and it’s only wise that you pray for him to succeed. Let’s bring the Bible into this narrative. In Judges 4-5, Deborah, a prophet and judge of Israel, called upon Barak, a military leader, to defeat the Canaanite army. Barak was hesitant, but Deborah agreed to accompany him to battle. Before the battle, Deborah prayed to God for victory, and God answered her prayer. Barak was hesitant, but Deborah’s faith and prayer encouraged him to trust in God.
Together, they defeated the Canaanites. The Israelites recovered their stolen wealth, and God’s people were finally free.
With you on His side, your boyfriend is not alone. And with God in the picture, things can only get better for your boyfriend and your relationship. Now that you have come to God, we will pray a powerful prayer that has worked for many who prayed for the hustles of their partners to be fruitful.

Oh Lord,
Sometimes, it gets so tough that I find my boyfriend leaning back. This is why I’m here before you praying for him to keep working harder. You have blessed him with a desire to succeed. Father, help him make a difference in his field. I pray that you would continue to stir in him a passion for progress and a drive to constantly improve.

Dear Lord,
I pray that my boyfriend will be filled with your wisdom and creativity as he promotes his startup. Bezalel and Oholiab were filled with your Spirit and skilled in their crafts (Exodus 35:30-35). As for my boyfriend, You have gifted him with talents and skills. Now, I pray that you would help him to confidently promote himself and his business.
Help him to find a balance between humility and self-promotion. He should never boast in himself but always be confident in the abilities you have given him. May he be like Joseph, who boldly shared his vision with Pharaoh (Genesis 41:25-32). Help him to show the world what you are doing through his business and be a business light in the darkness for him.

3. Prayer for him to make positive connections with Important People
Dear God,
My boyfriend has a hustle that enables him to handle responsibilities in the house. Now, I pray to You asking that you would help him make connections with important people in his industry. In Genesis 41:37-45, Joseph was a stranger in Egypt when he rose to prominence through his connections with Pharaoh. I pray that my boyfriend would build this type of genuine relationship with those who can help his hustle.
May he be a hustler who gives as well as takes. Help him to use his connections to bless others and not just himself. Help him to treat people well, be genuine in his relationships, and treat his connections fairly. You have taught us to “love our neighbors as ourselves” in Mark 12:31, may my Boyfriend be loving as he proceeds in business.
While he is building his network, help him to be like Daniel. Daniel rose to prominence in Babylon through his wisdom and integrity. May his connections be a blessing to him and to others, and may his hustle be successful for your glory.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Here I am lifting up my boyfriend’s hustle to you. I am praying for resilience in the face of criticism and rejection that he may encounter in this journey. Help him to remember that success is not defined by the opinions of others, but by his faithfulness to your calling. May he be like David, who ignored the criticism of his brothers and trusted in your guidance as he faced Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:28-50. And Just like Stephen in Acts 6:8-15, fill him with grace and power so that he can stand firm against his critics. I pray that my boyfriend would be indifferent to the haters and stay focused all the time.
Even when criticism comes from loved ones, help him not to lose focus. He should reach his goals and not be swayed by any opinions. May he be so busy doing the work it takes to be successful.

Oh Loving Father,
At this point, I lift up his hustle to you, asking you to give him boldness and help him to be determined to take what he needs to succeed. Didn’t Jacob wrestle with the angel, refusing to let go until he received a blessing (Genesis 32:22-33)? I am hanging on to you praying for You to bless my boyfriend with the spirit of persistence.
Help him to remember that taking what he needs doesn’t mean taking from others, but rather, working hard to achieve his vision. May he receive what he needs to thrive. He will face challenges and a couple of setbacks but male him a David who relied on your divine strength to defeat Goliath as we see in 1 Samuel 17:28-50. I want my boyfriend to be a hustler who takes what he needs with integrity and faith. Keep reminding him also that you are his provider.

Help him to be aware of the situation and know when to use his instinct to obtain the best. As he shares his talents with the world, make him a Daniel who will serve with excellence and integrity just as Danie did in Babylon (Daniel 1:1-20). May my partner’s hustle testify to your blessing to all who see it.

7. Dear God, give my boyfriend confidence wherever He Goes
Dear Heavenly Father,
It’s a competitive world we are in today. Everyone is struggling to be the best right now, and my boyfriend is in this boat. Please, help his honest hustle thrive, which also means boosting his confidence and making him bold in all his endeavors.
Let him be like a young shepherd who confidently faces any business Goliath with faith in you. I pray that my boyfriend will carry himself with confidence. I pray that he will acknowledge that you are his rock and refuge all the time.
Let him never forget that confidence comes from your strength, not from his own abilities. May he rise to prominence in his business with your favor and blessing. Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray for my boyfriend’s hustle, asking that you would grant him street smarts and quick thinking in unexpected situations. Just as Solomon, with your wisdom, made wise decisions and judgments (1 Kings 3:1-28), I pray that my boyfriend would be wise and discerning in his business dealings.
May he be like the apostle Paul, who adapted to new situations and cultures, yet remained faithful to your message (Acts 16:1-40). May he hone his street smarts, reacting quickly and wisely to unscripted moments, and trusting in your guidance and protection.
As he faces challenges and decisions, may he be like Esther, who trusted in your sovereignty and made bold moves to save her people (Esther 4:1-17). May his startup be successful, and may he be a great hustler, all for your glory.

Our Father,
Right now, what my boyfriend needs is a can-do attitude, and not any excuses that could set him back.
I pray that you would take away excuses from his mouth and replace them with a spirit of hard work. While you push him forward, grant him the determination. I know your word in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, “If anyone is not willing to work, let them not eat,” so I pray that my boyfriend would be willing to put in the effort required for his hustle. He must also remember that luck may be out of his control, but his work ethic and attitude are not. May he be like the ant in Proverbs 6:6-8, who works hard and prepares for the future, rather than making excuses and sitting back.
If he faces setbacks, help him to take responsibility for his actions. Help him with heavenly wisdom to guide his decisions, and not make excuses for any failures. May the hustle of my boyfriend be marked by a spirit of excellence. He must be ready to learn from his mistakes, and not make flimsy excuses for them. Father, I know that you are listening to me. Please, help this startup to be successful, and make him a successful hustler, all for your glory.
