As we pray for our husbands at work, let us remember Daniel, a faithful servant of God who was in a dangerous situation at work. In Daniel 2:12-13, King Nebuchadnezzar was furious that his wise men couldn’t figure out what his dream meant, so he ordered the execution of all of Babylon’s wise men, including Daniel and his friends. But Daniel prayed to God for help and understanding. What did God do? He told Daniel the dream and what it meant, and also made him very important in the king’s eyes and gave him a lot of power and influence.
God’s powerful hand will be at work once we call on him to your lovely husband at work. Our Father loves to meddle in people’s lives and turn what looks like an impossible situation into a victory, just as with Daniel. It all happens with a prayer.
Every time we pray for our husbands at work, God who heard Daniel’s prayer can do a thousand times more than what we ask or think. We will now ask Him to do the same for your husband while at work. He is to give him knowledge, direction, and favor at work, and to use them for His own glory.
Prayer for My Husband at Work
If you have a picture of your husband, please hold it up, even if it’s on your mobile phone or computer. If not, don’t worry. Now, visualize that handsome, hardworking man because you’re about to invoke the spirit of God upon him, to guide him at work.
1. Prayer for husband’s wisdom and discernment in all his decisions today
Dear God,
Help my husband make every decision today with wisdom and discernment. For the tough parts of his job, please give him a clear head and better understanding. Help him see things the way you do and make decisions that are in line with what you want. Help him tell the difference between good and evil and pick the road that honors you. Let him also stay on the right path and avoid any problems or traps that might be out there at work. I pray that your Spirit will lead him and that your knowledge will show him the right way to think and act.
I know that my husband has to make a lot of decisions every day, some big and some small. Please help him be smart enough to choose the right thing even when it’s hard. Help him trust you and rely on your knowledge instead of his own. Thank you, Lord, for I believe that you will give my husband the courage he needs to do his job well. I pray in the name of Jesus.

2. Prayer for husband protection from harm and danger, and keep him safe in all his travels
Today, my prayer is that you will protect my husband like a shield. Protect him from harm while he’s at work or on the way to and from work. I beg you to keep an eye on him and protect him from all harm.
The world isn’t always safe at all and many things that could go wrong, but won’t be his portion. I also know that you are a God who keeps us safe. You are the one who watches over us and keeps us safe. This is why I pray to you to be with my husband on all of his business trips, whether it is by car, plane, or foot. Protect him from accidents and evil people who want to hurt him.
Father, Keep this handsome man safe from natural disasters and any other dangers for me. Keep my husband safe from the spiritual threats that are present at work, and Hold him back from bad situations that could tempt him. May he stay close to you and follow your lead. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
3. Prayer for him to experience God’s favor and influence with his colleagues and superiors
Almighty God,
You are God of favor, please show my husband favor and power with his coworkers and bosses. As I bring my husband to you, I ask that you give him the power to have a good name so that everyone around him will respect and admire him. I know that you are the one in control, and that you are the one who makes other people like us. Proverbs 21:1 says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” Therefore, make my husband’s coworkers and employer like him and see him in a good light.
People who work with my husband should see Christ in him, so I pray that he is a light at work. Teach him to be a servant-leader and use his power to bring you praise. Help him build strong, healthy relationships by giving him knowledge and discretion in how he deals with other people. Thank you, Lord, for being a God who helps and guides people. I believe you will do my husband the favor he needs to do well at work and bring honor to you. Amen.
4. May he stay focused and productive at work
Dear God,
Help my husband stay on task and get things done, and make good use of his time. He also needs to stay focused on his goals and stay away from activities that will take his attention away. You make us able to be useful and effective. As it says in Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” I hope that my husband will do his job well and in the same way that you would want him to.
Help him work harder, be responsible, and make good use of his time. Give him the energy to get things done. Help him stay organized and get things done as quickly as possible. When he’s done with his work, let him feel proud with himself, and that he will be able to rest easy knowing that he did his best. Thank you, Lord, for I believe that you will help my husband get things done to make his work a lot easier. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
5. Prayer for husband’s strength to always do what is right, even when it’s hard
Heavenly Father,
Please give my husband the strength to always do what’s right, even when things get tough. Give him a strong sense of what is right and fair, and I pray that he will be willing to stand up for it.
Make him smart enough to know when to speak out and brave enough to do so even if people don’t agree with him. My prayer is that he will be a source of honesty at work, and that his deeds will bring glory to you. Thank you, Lord, for I believe that you will give my husband the strength to do what honors you.

While at work, please help my husband to figure out how to solve difficult problems. Make him see things in a modern way and be able to think outside the box in difficult situations. Dear God, I know that you are a God of creativity. It’s even written in Isaiah 40:28, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” I pray that my husband will be able to use your artistic power to solve his problems in creative ways.
Help him figure out how to solve problems and take on new tasks with a sense of adventure and curiosity. Let him be able to think critically and come up with solutions. He should be an inspiration at work, and bring fresh points of view to the table. Amen.
7. Prayer for husband’s mind and heart to be pure at work
Our Father,
My husband might encounter temptations while at work. But I trust in You, and pray for You to help him stay away from temptation and other things that will take his attention away. He needs to stay focused, especially on your will for his life. Please help him stay away from temptation and other things that might take his attention away from you.
The enemy is always trying to get us to give up our walk with you and do things that aren’t of you. What I also know is that you are a Holy and Pure God. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” I hope that my husband will have a pure heart and always do what is right in your eyes.
Help him to be aware of what he does and thinks and to avoid giving in trouble. Give him the wisdom to figure out how the enemy is attacking and the strength to stand up to them. May his actions create an avenue for you to be praised and that everything he does will bring you respect. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
8. Prayer for him to build strong and healthy ties with his coworkers
Our Father,
I know that you care about being with other people and building ties. In Hebrews 10:24-25:
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Make my husband a source of strength to those around him. Help him get along well with his coworkers, and be a good team player while working with the people around him. He also needs Your heavenly wisdom to handle tough situations and the patience to earn the trust of those around him. I hope that he will be a blessing to those around him and that his relationships will bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
9. Prayer for husband’s happiness at work
Dear God,
Finally, I am asking You, Oh Lord, to give my husband a sense of happiness in his work. Please, help him see how his work fits into your bigger plan for his life and inspire him to use his skills and gifts for your glory. You are a God who has a plan and a way. In Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” I pray that my husband would see himself as your masterpiece, made to do good things, and be inspired to use his skills and gifts for your praise.
Father, make it possible for my husband to enjoy his job. Help him to know how to help other people with his skills and the courage to trust you and take a chance. May he be a light at work and that his work will bring glory to Your name.
Thank you, Lord, for being a God who knows what to do. I believe that you have heard my prayer, and will grant my husband a beautiful experience at work and make him happy. In the name of Jesus.
